Swing Life Away

I wanted to do a piece that depicts the simplicity of childhood. I drew the child as though she wasn't enjoying herself, it's to represent the impending doom of adulthood.

New Inks

I finally sat down last night and started doing some inks again. I started looking at galleries and I'm going to be doing a show in the buddah soon and I needed some new stuff for it.

Lucky Dewey

Finally done! lots of work, it took about 10 hours to get this painting done, but it was worth it. My first real digital painting. :D if anyone wants a print, let me know.

I called it Lucky Dewey because it's actually based on the death of a well known mobster, Dutch Shultz. He was a mob boss back in the days of the prohibition and got screwed over by a politician named Dewey something or other. Shultz blew up and announced (despite the unhappiness of the roundtable) a hit on the politician. Lucky Luciano, not wanting to draw unecessary attention to his crime syndicate, took out Shultz before he could kill Dewey.

Mafia Cafe

I can't quite remember where this comes from, but i know it's a well-known mobster photograph, if anyone can help me remember which mobster got killed in a cafe, it would be much appreciated. I did this sketch so i could paint it... i figure you may as well paint something you're interested in right?

you made my flower die

i found this old sketch while i was cleaning my basement and it gave me a chuckle... so i figured i'd turn it into a cheap little digital painting. enjoi.
