Sudz - 01 - The Valley

Sudz - The Valley

So I figured i'd start a little comic strip and who knows, maybe when i've got quite a few i'll start a website and make it an online comic, but for now it's mostly just for fun. I thought it would be different to incorporate photographs as backgrounds, since to the best of my knowledge no one does that. No worries though, they'll all be taken by me, no biting.

new project

Me and my college buddy Denis started working on an idea a long time ago for a tv series. It's gonna be pretty cool, i don't want to divulge too much right away, but it's going to involve 8 year olds from all around the world. Here's some character sketches I've drawn up for the project.

high sea sketch

At work we were told that we could design charaters for the upcomming movie and if selected, we'd get paid for our designs, this is my sketch so far for a teenage, would-be pirate, who turned out to be a signing boyband type.

George

I love Seinfeld. This is George. took me a half hour on my lunchbreak.

Sketching done!

After 3 long nights of work (about 2-3 hours each) i'm finally done lol. I used vectors to color the entire thing and some gradients. I only used 8 colors, which is the max limit for Threadless. I'm hoping this design will help me win the sketching contest, and get that sweet Cintiq! Anywayz, i still have to edit the bed when i'm done the next picture for the shirt, but it's looking good.

t-shirt sketch 2

This is the second sketch for my t-shirt. This will appear on the front of the shirt and the back will be the previous entry with him sketching the paradise. I'm going to change the sketch of the paradise a little and have him still sitting on his bed,so it shows my message "art can take you away" a little more clearly.

Escape - sketch

I started working on a custom piece for Threadless Loves Drawing. This one is based on the idea that drawing can take you to anywhere you want to go. For most of us it's an escape. This is the sketch that I'm going to make my piece off of. I'll post up the other side of the shirt as soon as I have it made. Enjoi.

New Tshirt

I was reading my earlier submission to Threadless when I spoted a comment tellming me I should have submitted that design to the Threadless Loves Drawing section. I didn't want to resubmit something, so i figured i'd turn another one of my pieces into a t-shirt. Check it out through the link below.

Tasha

I decided to pull out my sketchbook while I was on break at work today and sketch out a picture of my girlfriend Tasha. I'm really pleased with the end result. It was all done with an HB pencil.

Castle

I told myself I was going to try to draw as much as possible in inks and draw anything and everything. Seeing as I was doing alot of people, I figured i'd have some fun drawing a castle. It's just really quick work, but it was fun to mess around with.
